KCU recognises its moral and legal responsibility to provide and maintain a work environment in which employees, contractors, clients and visitors are safe on site. Wherever we operate, our aim is to achieve Zero harm to employees, contractors, the community and environment. To manage this, KCU has developed and implemented a Certified Safety Management System which complies with AS4801.
Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy workplaces will be the result of diligent application and the shared responsibility by the company and all its employees. Recommendations for continually improving the Safety Management System are encouraged from all KCU employees and sub-contractors.

Mental health goals at KCU
KCU employees have been fortunate to attend and complete Nationally Accredited Mental Health First Aid Training. This course provides practical skills to support someone who has mental health concerns, identify a worsening of an existing condition, identify a rapid onset crisis and to helping the colleague to seek professional help.
